Mr. Ronald L. Burns has served as Coffee County Revenue Commissioner for thirty years and is the longest serving Revenue Commissioner in the state of Alabama. Ronnie has a B.S. in Business and is an Alabama Certified Appraiser (ACA) and an Alabama Certified Tax Administrator (ACTA). His office is responsible for the following duties in Coffee County. • Assessment of Real Property
• Assigning Homestead Exemptions
• Assigning Current Use Land Classification
• Issuing Manufactured Home Registration Decals (October 1 through November 30)
• Calculating and collecting ad-valorem taxes on Real Property and Business Personal Property (October 1 through December 31). Taxes are delinquent after December 31 and penalities and interest begin accruing on January 1.
